2021 UNITE 4021 "Using MCP EMAIL, 2.0"
Resource Files Read Me
------------------------------------

This ZIP archive file contains a set of source programs and other
resources used with the MCP EMAIL presentation.

CANDE\MYOPTIONS.sqd_m
A sample MYOPTIONS file to configure email options and defaults
        for a user.

CANDE\NOTIFYLIST.wfl_m
A very simple email address distribution list (it contains only
two items) as would be used with the "%<file name>" form of
email address list entry. This file is referenced in the
        WFL\UTIL\JOB\EMAILER.wfl_m utility routines described below.

CMD\EMAIL\1.wfl_m
CMD\EMAIL\2.wfl_m
CMD\EMAIL\3.wfl_m
CMD\EMAIL\4.wfl_m
CMD\EMAIL\5.wfl_m
CMD\EMAIL\6.wfl_m
The set of CANDE "DO" files used in the presentation to demonstrate
sending email messages using various options and forms of attachments by
means of OBJECT/EMAIL and the CANDE Utility command. In these examples,
INDEX.HTM is a byte stream file containing HTML text. The BD/= file is
        an MCP printer backup file.

INSTALLATION\OPTIONS.sqd_m
A sample (and very simple) global configuration file for OBJECT/EMAIL.

WFL\UNITE\EMAIL\JOB\EMAILER.wfl_m
WFL\UNITE\EMAIL\NOTIFY\TEST.wfl_m
A couple of simple WFL jobs that test the EMAILER, NOTIFY, and
TASKNOTIFY routines in the WFL\UTIL\JOB\EMAILER.wfl_m include file
        described below.

WFL\UNITE\EMAIL\TEST.wfl_m
A WFL job used in the presentation to send an email message using
OBJECT/EMAIL. The message includes a copy of the WFL file for the job.

WFL\UTIL\BACKUP\DAILY.wfl_m
The daily backup job used in the "lights out" environment discussed in
        the presentation.

WFL\UTIL\BACKUP\TEMPLATE.wfl_m
The template WFL job used by the COPYLISTMERGE.c85_m program to produce
a wrapped container from a list of files generated by SYSTEM/FILECOPY.

WFL\UTIL\BACKUP\TRANSFERONLY.wfl_m
A WFL job used in the "lights out" environment to transfer one of the
wrapped container files generated by the backup process. This job is
used only if the file transfer process failed for some reason and needs
        to be manually restarted.

WFL\UTIL\DAILY\DIFFERENTIAL.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\DAILY\ENVIR.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\DAILY\FULL.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\DAILY\PROD.wfl_m
The set of daily backup jobs generated by COPYLISTMERGE from the
WFL\UTIL\BACKUP\DAILY.wfl_m job. The ENVIR and PROD backups are run
every weekday. The FULL job runs only on Fridays and does a weekly
backup of source and other miscellaneous files. The DIFFERENTIAL job
runs on all other weekdays to dump files that have been added or
modified in the last 15 days.

WFL\UTIL\DATE\MODULE.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\JOB\EMAILER.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\JOB\INTERFACE.wfl_m
WFL\UTIL\JOB\MARKFILE.wfl_m
WFL include files for the utility routines used in the "lights out"
environment discussed in the presentation and the daily backup jobs
        discussed above.

WFL\UTIL\LOGMAILER.wfl_m
A WFL job to run LOGANALYZER and email the resulting printer file using
OBJECT/EMAIL. This job illustrates the general technique for using
OBJECT/EMAIL to send MCP printer backup files.

WFL\UTIL\SCHEDULE\MASTER.wfl_m
The master schedule job mentioned for the "lights out" environment in
        the presentation.

EMAIL-Trace-Example.txt
Sample output from the OBJECT/EMAIL TRACE option.

MCP-4021-ReadMe.txt
        This file.

Shaefer-20090729-Unisys-EMAIL.eml
An email message from Tom Schaefer of Better Software Solutions from
2009 describing a technique he uses for sending MCP printer backup
files in Microsoft Rich Text Format (RTF) using OBJECT/EMAIL.
